When we switch from summer time to winter time, our biological clock is always a bit confused. It gets dark faster and it is very attractive to lie on the couch and turn on a Netflix series. But what if we make the barrier to exercise as low as possible?

Keep looking for motivation

Do you find it difficult to stay motivated during the winter time? That is not surprising, because we often have less energy and go out less. To keep moving, it is useful to actively look for motivation. This can be done in many different ways, but always choose something that works for you. You can collect inspiring quotes, buy a new sports outfit or change your sports routine.

SET A GOAL AND PLAN AHEAD

Setting a goal is also motivating. Want to run a marathon in the spring? Lose 5 kilos for next summer? Or just feel a bit more comfortable in your own skin? Grab your notebook or diary and write down what you want to achieve and how you are going to do it. How often do you exercise per week? Do you choose strength training or do you go for different types of cardio? And when are you going to exercise; Do you have more energy in the morning or in the evening?

FITNESS EQUIPMENT

Exercising during the winter time is extremely important. Make it as easy as possible for yourself and choose to exercise at home. Purchase some fitness equipment and there’s nothing stopping you from working up a sweat.

A treadmill is very functional. You can train for a marathon, but also do interval training or fast walking. With a crosstrainer you train your whole body. An exercise bike is nice to use for a warm-up or if you want to keep training in the winter while you normally cycle outside a lot.

Ellipticals

You can train your leg and arm muscles simultaneously on a Flow Fitness crosstrainer. Due to the wide variety of models, there is something for everyone: a short or long stride; front or rear driven; for home or light commercial use.

Exercise Bikes

Do you want to work on your stamina, recover from an injury or stay active in a fun way? You can, by cycling on a Flow Fitness exercise bike. There are many different models available, but they have one thing in common: they are all comfortable, have a sporty look and are rock solid.

Treadmills

Do you sometimes have difficulty motivating yourself to go outside for a run when it is dark or the weather is bad? Change it up by occasionally running indoors on a treadmill. The Flow Fitness treadmills are known for their strong frames and sleek designs.

HIIT

A HIIT workout is great if you’re short on time. HIIT stands for High Intensity Interval Training. The purpose of this is to train many muscle groups in a short time and to work on your condition. You exert yourself for a short time, take a short rest and then do another high-intensity exercise. It gives you a high heart rate, sweat and a lot of muscle pain.

You can also do a HIIT workout well with the help of fitness machines, so you can alternate. So there are plenty of options at home to keep fit, even if you don’t have much time.

Are you planning to exercise at home during the winter time? Of course we encourage that. We are therefore happy to help you purchase the right fitness equipment.
