Marc has over 15 years coaching experience with swimmers and triathletes of all ages and abilities, over 20 years of national level competitive swimming experience, has been a competitive triathlete for over 10 years and holds NCAA Division I school records and a FINA Masters World Record.  He has appeared in various magazines and videos, including Swim Power 2, Sports Illustrated for Women, Outside, Fitness Swimmer, and Runner's World demonstrating proper exercise techniques in swimming, running and strength training.  He is certified as a Personal Trainer and Level 1 USA Triathlon Coach.

Coaching Experience:

Marc started teaching swimming at the age of 14 at a summer day camp.  Since then, he has worked with the Cornell University Summer Swim Camp and as an Assistant to the Ithaca College Women’s Varsity Swim Team.  For the past four years he has been the Coach and Race Director for the New York AARP Triumph Classic, Fit at 50 and Westchester Triathlons as well as the Alzheimer's Association 5K Boot Camp and Charity Run in Rochester, NY.  He has also been a head coach with Steve Tarpinian for Total Training Swim, a swimming program on Long Island with beginning swimmers, competitive masters swimmers and triathletes.  With his background in open water swimming, United States Lifesaving Association competitions, competitive USS, NCAA and Master’s swimming as well as triathlon, Marc has effectively coached hundreds of swimmers with varied goals and abilities.  Marc constantly researches the latest techniques and training principles and is always experimenting to find the best way to translate his knowledge and experience to those he coaches in a motivating, enjoyable and productive atmosphere.

Competitive Experience:

In 2000 Marc received Masters All American Honors as the Masters National Ocean Mile Champion in the 25 – 29 age group and second place finisher overall.  That same year, he was also top ten nationally for the 25 – 29 age group in 4 individual events.  In addition to his competitive swimming background as an age grouper through United States Swimming and  collegiately as a NCAA division I swimmer, Marc has placed in the top ten nationally in numerous United States Lifesaving Association competitions in the ocean mile and run swim run events.  Much of Marc’s swimming success has continued through his masters and triathlon experience while holding a full time job.  He has been able to accomplish this by finding the proper way to train with time constraints and making the most out of the time he does spend training mainly by concentrating on technique and doing planned, quality workouts.  Somehow, Marc also finds time to compete in adventure races and enjoy mountain and rock climbing, surfing and snowboarding.

Professional Experience:

Marc received his Bachelors of Science from Cornell University where he competed on the Varsity Swim Team all 4 years and was named most prospective Freshman Swimmer, was voted Captain and was named MVP his senior year.  At Cornell Marc set numerous School Records and All Time Top Five performances in various individual and relay events.  From Cornell he spent 4 years working for a top Manhattan law firm before attending Brooklyn Law School.  After law school, Marc went on to work for a top International Law Firm, Davis Polk and Wardwell, before returning full time to his true passion of working with people to help them achieve their health, wellness and competitive fitness goals by co-founding Flow Fitness and working as the Facility Director at the Center for Lifetime Wellness.  Marc has been interviewed on radio and has given numerous lectures on exercise and health related topics.
